The Gospel of John is known as the spiritual gospel. Through the inclusion of Jesus’ renowned ‘I Am’ statements, it is clear that John intends for his readers to discern for themselves who Jesus is.

The book was crafted with a particular intention, which the author articulates towards the conclusion: ‘so that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and that by believing, you may have life in his name.’
