mark
The book of Mark is the shortest of the four Gospels and is also known as the action Gospel. Mark focuses on what Jesus did rather than his teachings or parables.
Even though Jesus was fully God, Mark also highlights that He was fully human portraying Jesus as a man with emotions and limitations. He describes Jesus’ exhaustion, hunger and sadness.
Mark reminds us that this new life of faith was never meant to be easy and that if we are to follow Jesus we should be ready to serve and suffer as Jesus did.
